What does it check?
Whether the notes you play are the notes of the chord, whether the symbol you choose sounds like the chord on the staff, whether a numeral reads the chord the way the progression does, whether the third and the seventh of each chord move smoothly to the next, and whether a scale fits the chord. Each place that needs another look is listed with the reason. Where teachers differ, it does not mark an error.
Is there only one right answer?
Often not. Two symbols can name the same sound, and several scales fit one chord. The page accepts every answer on its list and shows one of them when you ask.
Does it grade me?
No. It counts the places to look at again and says why. There is no score and no stars, and your attempt is not saved.
How do I answer?
Play the notes on the on-screen keyboard or a MIDI keyboard, choose a symbol with the root, accidental and quality buttons, or choose a numeral or a scale from the list for each chord.
Which levels are free?
Levels 1 and 2 are open to everyone, with or without an account. The other levels are part of Max.
