Start free. Finish the course.

Starter opens the whole course. Pro adds the daily practice around it: every sight-reading, ear-training and technique level, the full sheet-music library with graded arrangements, custom practice, a review of the measures you keep missing, printing and worksheets, offline use in the app, and more room for your own scores. The free lessons stay free.

About paying

What is the difference between Starter, Pro, and Max?

Starter opens the whole course: every lesson, its drills, the pieces the lessons use, and room for up to 3 of your own scores. Pro adds the pieces no lesson uses and graded arrangements of the classics, every sight-reading level, every ear-training level, every technique level, custom sight-reading and ear-training practice, a review of the measures your checked takes keep missing, printing scores and worksheets, offline downloads in the app, and room for up to 200 of your own scores. Max adds harmony writing (the places in four parts or in chord symbols that break the rules we wrote down, marked and counted), improvisation over a band that counts what you play and never grades it, a mock audition made of our own exercises that counts what you did and never scores it, a timed mock paper on a difficulty scale of our own, MusicXML export of any score you can open, an easier edition of a score you find hard, moving any score into another key with its chord symbols, and up to 5 more seats for the people you live with. Nothing a plan includes when you buy it is moved to a higher one for as long as you keep that plan.

Is accompaniment part of Pro?

No. Accompaniment plays under whatever you can already open that has chords written for it — sight-reading levels 1 to 3 included — so it needs no plan of its own. What Pro adds is more to play along with: the graded arrangements and every level of the practice ladders.

Do the free lessons stay free?

Yes. A lesson marked free does not become paid later — taking back something someone has already read is the fastest way to lose their trust. The review queue, the online piano, today’s practice, the explanation of a wrong answer, sight-reading levels 1 to 3, levels 1 and 2 of ear training and of technique, and level 1 of harmony writing are free too. Levels 1 and 2 of chord-symbol harmony are free too. Levels 1 and 2 of lead-sheet reading are free too. Level 1 of improvisation over a band is free too.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, for a subscription bought on this website. Moving up takes effect immediately and is charged at once, less a credit for the unused time on your current plan; if the billing interval changes, a new full period starts that day, and if the credit covers the charge, nothing is charged. Moving down takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, with no refund, and you can cancel it until then. A subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play is changed in that store.

What does lifetime access include?

Lifetime access is Pro, paid once. Everything Pro includes stays open for good, including what Pro gains later, and it never renews. If you have a Starter or Pro subscription on this website, buying it sets that subscription not to renew: it runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and the rest of that period is not refunded automatically.

If I cancel, does access stop immediately?

No. Cancelling turns off renewal. The period you have already paid for runs to its end and access stops then. The control is on your account page.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, in defined cases and within defined windows — your first purchase, lifetime access and a yearly renewal each fall under a fourteen-day rule, and a billing mistake is always put right. The full conditions are on the Subscriptions & refunds page, which is the text that governs.

Do you keep my card details?

No. Payment and billing management happen on the payment provider’s own pages; this site never touches a card number. “Manage subscription” on your account page is a link out to them.
