Staff paper and piano note chart

Free staff paper to print: grand staff, treble or bass clef, 4 to 12 staves a page on A4 or US Letter, and a piano note chart from C2 to C6.

Choose the paper and how many staves a page holds, then print. With few staves to a page they are drawn larger than ordinary manuscript paper, for a learner’s pencil, and the clefs and the brace are the same drawings as every score on this site. The note chart names every white key from C2 to C6 on a keyboard and writes the same notes on a grand staff, with middle C on both staves.

How to print it

About the staff paper

Is it free to print and copy?

Yes. Print as many pages as you like for your own practice, your students or your class. No account is needed.

How do I get a PDF?

Press Print and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer (on Windows, “Microsoft Print to PDF”). The page asks for the paper size you chose, so the PDF comes out that size.

How big are the staves?

With few staves to a page they are a little larger than ordinary manuscript paper, for somebody learning to write notes. With more to a page they get smaller, and there is always room between them for stems and ledger lines.

What is on the piano note chart?

A keyboard from C2 to C6 with every white key named, and the same notes on a grand staff: C4 to C6 on the treble staff and C2 to C4 on the bass staff, so middle C is on both.
